Blogging and writing to support my traveling habit. I’m a 20-year tourism industry veteran who followed a hiking trail and turned a summer job into a 10-year career with a park management company working in Death Valley, Everglades and Yellowstone National Parks. I’ve spent the past decade working in Florida tourism marketing. I blog about life on QuirkyKitschGirl.com and recently launched SoloTravelGirl.com. I’m the lead blogger for Resort Rentals, Intl., and my writing has appeared in Apalachee Tortoise (Tallahassee), The Parrot (Southwest Florida), online on travel-travel-travel.com and Suite101.com, and To Japan with Love: A Travel Guide for the Connoisseur (Nov. 2009). Somehow I ended up on Christopher Elliott’s 50 Travel Twitterers You Should Follow list in Dec. 2008 and was named one of 101 Women Bloggers to Follow in 2010 by WE Magazine for Women. Always on a quest for bragging rights.

Forgive Me World, I Am an Irresponsible Traveler

Nighttime View of Dubai Taken from the Hilton Dubai Creek

(TTBS) I like to think of myself as a good person and responsible traveler but here's a confession, I'm not.

Sure, I've chastised litterbugs and those molesting animals in national parks and even…

Good afternoon, Jennifer, and welcome to Tripatini! It's great to have you with us -- and we think you'll find our site productive as well as interesting and enjoyable.

To get the most out of Tripatini, we recommend you take a moment to join several of our many groups which you may find of particular use, such as Media Only, SATW, Florida, Netherlands, Belgium, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Arizona, South Carolina, Virginia, Eco/Sustainable Tourism, Family Travel, History/Heritage/Archaeology, Resorts Corner, B&Bs/Inns/Pensions, Eating/Drinking the World, Women's Travel, and plenty of others covering many other topics and most destinations across the globe.

FYI, on your profile you'll see a green bar marked "Text Box," which you can turn into a box containing not just text but also photos and even videos about yourself, your travels, your writing/outlets, and more.

Finally, if you would, please be so kind as to spread the word among your travel-interested friends, family, colleagues, associates, and audience. It's fast and easy to use our "INVITE" function above left on the navigation bar to enter e-mails (even your whole list at once!). If you can cover us in any of your outlets, we'd of course be grateful, and if you feel you might want to occasionally blog for us, rates/guidelines are available upon request. Finally, if you have a Facebook or Twitter account, please join our fan page and follow us (see front page info box), and tweet us! We'll be happy to follow you, as well.

Thanks much for joining us; we wish you an outstanding 2010, and it goes without saying that we look forward to seeing you online.

Cheers!
