Hello,
I'm seeking additional photo assignments with travel publications when I'm in Bath, England, Sept. 18-21. I have one publication that is interested in having a photo of the Jane Austen Festival. But I'm seeking publications that are interested in a destination piece on Bath. Even though, I am primarily working a photographer, I am also an author of two books and numerous published articles and can also work as a writer. I have sent my story pitch to Delta Sky, Conde Nast and Travel & Leisure. Any suggestions as to other publications? At this point, the timing is very short and magazines are usually booked out four or more months in advance. Thanks everyone for any ideas you may have.
hello, fellow foodies. i'll be visiting liverpool at the end of september, staying in the historic city center. i want to pitch a "food and travel" story to the boston globe. any ideas? it could be a hot new restaurant or an old favorite, an up-and-coming chef, a distinctive market, or a food trend. thanks for your ideas!
Hello!

I'm planning a trip to the archipelago of Bocas del Toro, Panama Oct. 1st, and wanted to see if anyone would be interested in a destination review or travel story. Contact me for writing samples and to let me know what you need!
Hi All, I will be traveling to Cancun, Riviera Maya and Laguna Bacalar in December-then to Cuenca, Ecuador for a month, then back to the Yucatan Peninsula for awhile. I would appreciate any story ideas, contacts, properties to look at, etc. My email is: john(at)TravelWritingAndPhotography(dot)com Thanks for your help, John
Hi: I'm a writer and will be traveling to Africa in March with my sons and my photojournalist husband. We want to do a great photo safari in Kenya and see the gorillas in Rwanda. I am looking for leads on good tour companies in each of these places and since we're a writer and photographer team, we're hoping to publish some stories about our experiences.

Any suggestions for a safari in Kenya or a trip to the gorillas in Rwanda?

Many thanks--Jeannie
Hi Jeannie,
Sounds like a great trip! I went on safari a few years ago with a Brit outfit called Guerba (http://www.guerba.co.uk/), a "budget" kind of safari where you pitch your own tent every night and everyone pitches in to cook, etc. It was a fab experience. More recently, I recommended Guerba to my intrepid sister, who went with her husband to Kenya and Tanzania and even climbed Kilimanjaro (which she loved, minus the altitude sickness & frostbite). She also loved Guerba, and she's not easy to please. If you don't mind pitching your own tent etc (they provide the tent), you should look into this outfit.

Thanks Jose. This sounds great. We're always looking for ways to save money. Plus, it would probably be good for our boys to be pitching their tents and cooking instead of being "waited on." Can't wait to learn more about them.

Cheers--Jeannie

International Expeditions provides wonderful photo safari experiences. They organize group tours but also set up individual trips, which is what my husband and I and another couple asked them to do. We suggested places to visit and activities we wanted to do and used their expertise and connections to accomplish it all. Wonderful trip; we had about 4,000 images to cull through afterwards.

Hi, I have an assignment to do a story on luxury real estate in and around Cuenca, Ecuador. Any leads would be appreciated. Also, would like to hear from any expats in the area. Thanks!
Hi.

I'm in the planning stages of a 3 independent trip to Europe. Two weeks are taken care of, with a week in Italy and Croatia. For the third week, I am considering Turkey, probably with Istanbul as a base with exploring from there. Time frame is mid-June.

Information gathered from the trip will be used for stories to be placed in a variety of outlets (assignments confirmed) over the course of the following year.

I'm interested in hearing from any publicists, hotel and/or tour operators, or anyone who might be able to assist with information, reservations, and plans.

Thanks!!
Mary Jo
Ciao Tutti,

Writer, foodie and photographer is in northern Tuscany (la Lunigiana) through Christmas. Seeking assignments or information on odd or unusual Christmas Markets in the area. May very well be he helping neighbor turn his pig into prize winning (!) salaimi. Will also be visiting Naples and Rome before the holidays.
