$69.95? I think that's pretty affordable, as far as Arizona tours go. Sounds interesting, too. Did you do it, David? If so, what did you think?

If anybody's in northwestern Arizona or southwestern Utah (not all that far from the Grand Canyon, actually), there's a new specialty tour on the map for those interested in religion (especially Mormonism) and bizarre American history. Several former members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (remember, the cult of "prophet" Warren Jeffs, who was convicted of complicity in rape) is starting up a four-hour tour of Colorado City, running out of the nearby town of St. George. It ain't cheap -- $69.95 -- but at least for that you get lunch.

This week's Go-Lo poll concerns Arizona! U.S. travel authority Arthur Frommer recently set off a bit of a firestorm with his tough stance against travel to Arizona, where unusually lax gun laws allowed gun-toting demonstrators to wield their weapons outside a building where President Obama was speaking. Agree or disagree?

Just heard from the tourism folks in Sedona, Arizona -- now they, too are jumping on the "restaurant weeks" bandwagon (here they're calling it "Dine in Sedona Restaurant Fest"). This runs from June 15 to 30 and covers some 20 eateries. This is a little different than others I've heard of because it's dinner only and has three tiers -- you can get the basic prix-fixe for $19.95, a mid-range version for $29.95, and top of the line will run you $39.95.
