New data shows that this year, the number one visited Latin American destination is Mexico, followed by Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.

This data comes from online travel company, CheapOair, which is releasing data on the most popular Spanish-speaking destinations in honor of National Hispanic Month.

The data shows that travel to Mexico is up 25% year over year from 2016-2017 YTD and up 58% between 2013-2016.

Travel to Central American countries including Nicaragua and Honduras is up over 75% between 2013 and 2016. Travel to El Salvador is up over 88%, and travel to Guatemala is up over 95% while travel to Venezuela is down 36% YOY from 2016-2017.

The largest spike in travel to Hispanic countries was seen between 2013, increasing by over 57%.
