To answer your question - see both above person's response in April and various comments made in this thread over 5 years.  It's a numbers game and not just a monetary game, at least to some.  To you and someone like me, it might also be an ethical issue, but not to aforementioned, meaning people who operate purely in the travel blogging sphere and for whom the bottom line is about metrics as it is about money.  Sad but true.  But we can never decide the agendas of others. I learned the hard way over five plus years.
