A Bonza deal of a Freebie $99usd memberships in TheTopTravelClub.com.

The Club and Shisymbol.com.au have joined forces with a valuable website offer.

Shisymbol.com is the Australian site that has introduced a global symbol for travellers who are Single, Happy & Interested in meeting other singles anywhere is this little old world of ours.....from Bondi Beach to Copacobana Beach, from New York Harbor to Sydney Harbour (r u U or non U?), from Perth, Australia to Perth, Scotland, from Cape Town to Cape York and anywhere inbetween. The symbol is a quality jewellery item that will show well as an accessory to any clothing line, from casual to formal.

In order to give a boost to the worldwide launch they have teamed up with TheTopTravelClub to offer freebie memberships ($99usd per family) with a purchase of a $70usd symbol. You can even get 2 or 3 freebie memberships with other purchase offers available onsite.....such a bonza deal for singles eh?... or come and say g'day to us if you operate a singles group for some extra special offers.

Whether you are a single, know a single, part of a singles group or 'will soon be a single' you may want to take a peek at the SHIsymbol site, where you can subscribe to their excellent EMag, at no cost, as well as ordering a symbol for yourself or your single friend. If buying for a friend, you can always keep the $99usd membership for yourself...no worries mate!

A family membership in TheTopTravelClub.com gives members access to 10's of 1000's of TopTravelVouchers and direct member-only links to special rate travel deals in over 80 countries with new selections added every week. Over 30,000 worldwide accommodations at special member rates, flights, RV rentals, tours and adventures in travel to suit all types of traveller and travel insurance with savings of up to 40% for members only.....you can even come on down under and visit us in Oz with a members only travel deals at Nullarbor Traveller, Casey Australian Tours, Kangaroo Campervans. Travellers Auto Barn, Crikey Adventure Tours, Pemberton Discovery Tours, Out of Sight Tours, All Terrain 4WD Safaris....and these are just for Western Australia.....

All vouchers are free to members and their families with no restriction on the number that may be used in their membership year.....the Club does not sell travel or take reservations so members have to handle their own bookings directly with our listed travel operators (they list with the club at no cost) and they will give members the best advice at prices that are not available to non-members.

You can find the link to this tremendous offer from the home page of Shisymbol.com where you can also review a copy of one of the best EMags on the web.

The only other way to get a freebie membership in The Club is to be a travel business that joins the TopTravelVoucher program as all listed travel operators are offered a complimentary membership.

Crikey...what a deal......or to use a phrase from Tourism Australia......where the bloody hell are you?

Orbitz.com has changed their hotel booking cancellation fees. While some hotels may still charge their own cancellation fees, Orbitz will not tack on any of their own fees. This does not include their general cancellation policies where hotels are included in a total packaged deal.

GetThere, today, unveiled plans for a new suite of collaboration tools to help corporations maximize the return on investment of travel, meetings and virtual meeting options. The next generation of the 15-year-old online booking tool is to be called a "Collaboration Suite" and include a "return on invested collaboration calculator," social networking functionality, meeting planning tools and collaboration inventory management covering air travel booking to remote conferencing services, according to GetThere chief marketing officer and Sabre Travel Network corporate segment strategy and solutions vice president Suzanne Neufang.

Have just launched Eco Helpline, aimed at hotels, businesses, and individuals to go green. The lessons are free, so why not try it?

Interesting observation, Max. Did you try joining as an individual or as a web site? SATW has individual journalist memberships -- whether as writer or, as in your case, editor -- and associate memberships, which cover tourist boards, airlines, tour operators, and other vendors. In any case, you might try posing this question in the Media Only group, where they might have more insight as to what might or might not have happened. You might also ask our new member Marcia Levin, who is a recent past SATW president.

Any other travel sites have experience trying to join SATW? They turned us down twice, and it really frosted me.

My Tourism Newsroom website, a clearing house for clients' news releases, has been dormant while I've been considering re-launching and re-designing it. However, I've decided instead to sell the domain name, tourismnewsroom.com. It's listed on a domain sales website at $1,300. Might be best for a newsletter-style website for a single client or group of clients. Anyone interested, please get back to me or feel free to pass on my contact details. Thanks. Robin Prestage.

Just heard about a new Google Maps feature called Google City Tours. You type in a location or address, and up pops a map loaded with prominent local sights, museums, and so forth -- plus of course a map leading you to each of them. Pretty cool, actually...
