A NOTE RE POSTING PRESS RELEASES AND PRESS TRIPS:
We've found it to be more effective for members to post press releases as individual topics in our discussion forum below, rather than under the catch-all "Press Releases" and "Press Trips/Media Fams," below in that same forum. That way your announcements will be easily visible and clickable for weeks and not "hidden" below the catch-all categories. We suggest a topic line beginning with "PRESS RELEASE: XYZ" or "PRESS TRIP: XYZ."

This is a smart move, John. Organizations like this have to open up their meetings to recruit. I can think of at least a half dozen writers who joined ASJA after attending a meeting or two as non-members.

Hi Marian,
Fantastic! Thanks so much for your help and guidance.
I loved Japan when I visited many moons ago as a high school exchange student and was so impressed with the beauty and history of Kyoto.
I'll be lecturing in Seoul on sustainable tourism. Any information you might be able to share about your destination would be great since I speak often on wellness travel and work with travel agents and travel trade pubs.
Many thanks for the referral to Maureen - I'll certainly let her know you sent me!
And tell Maureen I sent you.
Also, you asked about hotels and temple-stays in Seoul, Korea. Please contact Maureen O'Crowley, Vice President of the Seoul Convention Bureau: seoultourism@gmail.com
Hi Camille, I represent the city of Kyoto. You can contact me about a temple stay at Shunkoin Temple sub-temple in the Myoshin-ji temple complex, Kyoto, Japan. You can find the temple mentioned in Michael Luango's article:
http://www.cnn.com/2012/10/02/travel/monastery-stays-travel/index.html. It gives the direct contact for the priest, who does speak English, but if he does not reply to you, you might be better off contacting me.
