Information

South Korea

Very much undersung as a tourist destination, Korea's home to the temples and various other sites of its ancient culture, scrumptious food, great bargain shopping, and lovely scenery. You can sneak a peek at the DMZ and the forbidding North, too.

Request for helping hand with hotel and spa PR referrals in Seoul.

Am leaving in early Dec to speak on sustainable tourism and will be covering an article on wellness tourism. Any leads on lux hotels, temple stays, health tourism, hot springs etc would be great.

Many thanks

Can anyone help with a new question on our "Ask a Travel Pro" forum about sights in Seoul and/or train service from Incheon to Seoul?  If so, please answer at this link.   고맙습니다  Komapsumnida!

NE, the Korean Times reports that visitors -- especially Japanese and Chinese visitors -- are canceling trips to South Korea. The question in my mind is, How much would South Korean tour operators have to discount their trips to fill those slots again?

The headline on an etn story about tourism in South Korea says "North Korea's attack has no effect on tourism." Do you share that optimism?

North Korea is interested in reviving tourism from South Korea. Is this an opening? A plea for money? Just talk?
