Does anyone have insights into using old Minolta lenses with Sony Alpa DSLRs ? From what I have heard, some of those glass lenses were very good, so if I do find a good lens, is it worth my while ?

As a kid I lived right on 66 in the Mojave--Helendale. Jane Russell lived there to.

Cheers,

Does anyone have any experience with the Flip camcorder? I love how small it is, but I wonder how it compares to a more "normal" camcorder. I'm thinking of getting one very soon, so any advice you guys can give, I'm all ears!!

Update on proposed photographic essay book on Route 66 - the Mojave Experience:
In just 10 days, I have 18 "backers" (including the Canadian Route 66
Association) and have $882 pledged of a $3000 goal to create a
photographic essay book on the people who live and work on Route 66
where it passes through the Mojave Desert (California). I still have 31
days to raise the balance, won't you help me too? You can make a pledge
of $1.00 or more here , on Kickstarter.com . If you find this project worthy, please share this message with your network.
Thank you,
Kevin Wong
