If you are traveling to South Africa for the World Cup, you should take a look at the myLanguage Travel Companion for South Africa.

It's the only connectionless app to combine a phrasebook that translates from languages spoken by the representing countries to Afrikaans and English, with dining, sightseeing, match schedules and groups.

For Disney World fans: Just found out about a cool app, "Undercover Tourist," released earlier this month. Navigating DW with the family can be quite a production, and you can end up wasting half the day on line, cutting down on the value you receive for your admission ticket. But this incorporates not just a detailed guide to the Disney Parks but also tools to help you plan and maximize your visit by providing wait times in real time, integrated into park maps. So for example you can choose the park with the fewest crowds on a given day, or coordinate your day to hit the rides and restaurants when the wait times are shortest. You can also buy discounted attraction tickets through this app. It costs $1.99 for the first 90 days after release, then $3.99.
