Zombies Invade Downtown Galveston

The dead are walking at October’s Music Nite on The Strand!  Zombiephiles of all ages are encouraged to invade Saengerfest Park from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, October 13.  Flash the Robot DJ and Come See My Dead Person will wake the dead with lively music.  In addition to the dance party, the event will feature fire jugglers, zombie makeup artists, and other haunting surprises.

Trick-or-Treating, Costume Contests and Halloween Fun in Downtown Galveston

Ghouls and goblins of all ages are invited to join in the Halloween festivities at the 2nd Annual Saengerfest Park Mini Monster Bash from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 27 at Saengerfest Park, 2302 Strand.  The free, family friendly Halloween carnival will include assorted games and prizes, trick-or-treating at participating downtown businesses, and a costume contest for children ages 0-11 at 3 p.m.

Downtown Galveston Erupts With Beatlemania

The British are invading September’s Music Nite on The Strand!  Beatles lovers are welcomed to participate in a free celebration of the Lads from Liverpool at Saengerfest Park.  From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8 acclaimed Beatles tribute band, The Fab 5, will be performing classic Beatles tunes for Beatlemaniacs of all ages.

Galveston's Favorite Southwestern Jewelry Shop Has Moved

GALVESTON ISLAND, Texas (August 1, 2012) – Now just a block from their previous location, Santa Fe Trails has moved to join the shops at Old Galveston Square, 2217 Strand.  The Native American and Southwestern jewelry and art shop relocated in order to accommodate repairs to the Ike damaged cast iron columns supporting the exterior of their previous location.
