I run a small B & B 4km from the Medieval City in Carcassonne offering a perfect holiday destination for people looking for a peaceful place set in a small village. Summer months with swimming pool. Breakfast packed lunches and dinner available - family meals at reasonable prices

What destinations are you most interested in learning about?
We're so happy here that we don't need to travel like we used to when we lived in London.
Other travel / language expertise?
Speaking mainly English with a smattering of French

Le Castel Enchante (Nr Carcassonne)

Here are pictures of our little piece of Heaven located in the South West of France just a hop and a skip from the Med and boasting of a swimming pool in the summer and log fire in the winter.  We have welcomed guests from all over the world and have rooms to fit all budgets.  We love the area so much we are always happy to tell our visitors the best places to visit, eat and always happy to make them feel as welcome as if they were visiting their friends and relatives.   This is the fastest growing Region in France and although it is still unspoilt - things are changing - so you have to visit before all the expensive hotels and tourist professionals move in and make it glamorous and expensive.  If you like history and walking - in the winter you can reach ski-ing within one and a half hours (so an activity possible for a day trip).

Wonderful Weather in France's Cathar Region

The summer months are great if you are wishing to get a good tan and spend your time fighting all the other tourists off. But now is really the time to visit when all the grapes are being picked and the flora and Fawna are beginning to come out again from their summer hiding places.
