Buran Ghati (also known as Barua Pass) links Shimla's Pabbar Valley and Kinnaur's Sangla Valley in Himachal Pradesh. Although the Upper Shimla region is not well-known for its trails/treks, if you can reach out to locals or study the geology of the area, you will discover that it is an ideal location for exploring undiscovered/unexplored trails.

This less-traveled Himalayan pass trail takes you through thick woodland, vast green alpine meadows, Pabbar and Sangla valley heritage villages, waterfalls, and glaciers, all with a picturesque view of Chandernahan Lake.

Buran Ghati is the trek for you if you want a full action packed adventure in one trek. Jhanglik village serves as the trek's starting point. Shimla is 6 hours away from Jhanglik. The difficulty level of the trek ranges from easy to moderate.

After the pass, the trail becomes a little more difficult to descend, necessitating the use of a rope at times, but the majority of the trail can be protected by slipping down. While traversing this pass, be sure to stop by Chandernahan's seven glacial ponds. The trek comes to a close in Burua village. Don't miss out on the stunning panoramic views from the pass.

Buran Pass is a well-known trek in Himachal Pradesh, with Janglik as its base camp. Buran Ghati Trek takes you across beautiful meadows and the azure Pabbar river before you reach a snow-capped mountain pass, providing you with an unforgettable experience.

The Buran Ghati trek is meticulously constructed. It feels like a wormhole between two worlds– one lush and green with meadows and valleys, and the other rugged, jagged, and majestic.
