Hello, here is the low-down about me.

I have over 40 years experience in assisting visitors as a tour guide here in the US , the Caribbean and Latin America and am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. I have enjoyed sharing my experience with travellers and have always immersed myself in the local history and culture of each place I have visited and resided in.

Some facts about me: I am an official Certified Tour Guide in Miami-Dade County and a member of the Professional Tour Guide Association. I am a Certified Travel Consultant, a 2-year course created by the Travel Institute. I have also attended business courses and training offered by suppliers, such as airlines, tourist boards, tour operators, consortia as well as industry associations ASTA, CLIA, IATAN and the Travel Institute.

I was also tour planner for the first Miami/Aruba Concorde Charter and first all-supersonic Around the World Concorde flight.

My past guests feel I am informative and amusing, meticulous and hospitable. But most of all seem have an ability to understand each traveler’s likes and dislikes and am compliant to virtually any specific interest.

Born in England, I have lived for 12 years in Peru, 10 years in Brasil, 6 years in Guatemala and 20 years in South Florida. Anything to get away from the depressing English weather! I'm now a tropical animal, or as the local Cubans call me, "un gringo aplatanado".

I have worked in the travel business for over forty years, and have traveled and guided extensively. When I travel, I like to see all there is to see. My itineraries are busy and complete. After touring with me, many guests remark they need to take another week off to recover. So keep in mind that a holiday by Martin is much more than a holiday, it’s an experience.

Whether you are visiting Miami and South Florida and are looking for a knowledgeable local friend and contact, or are visiting Europe or South America, and dislike travelling with groups or on cookie-cutter itineraries arranged by others, may I show you the way?
