Finally the day is here: placeOK´s official launch

And the “D” day arrived. On February 9, 2013, we launched to the world  the placeOK blog. But why now?

February 09 is a very special day for me: Nicky, my companion and partner in this adventure, was born on February 9. Last year, February 9, we made our first trip abroad (together) and was in that moment, when I stepped Buenos Aires (for the second time in my life) that I confirmed my passion for trips. Today, February 9, we are traveling to Paracas (Ica, Peru), this land welcome us and, from here, we are launching our blog.

The department of Ica, southern of Lima, has behaved very well with placeOK, its people decided to support our project even though it had not been published yet . Nicky looked at me and said “how do they support us if we are not yet known?”, my answer always was  ”we must be doing something right.”

And I think that is true.

From the first moment that I conceived the idea of the blog I thought it would be a super professional product, which should have strategic partenrs (such as universities, local governments, cultural groups and similars) and should provide very good information for our readers.

That is the objective of placeOK and I´ll try to accomplish it, that’s why I can´t forget to say “thank you” to all those who believed in placeOK although it wasn´t born yet:

Buganvilla Tours travel agency (Lima, Peru), a special thanks to Lyla and her team for gave us an excellent tour to Ballestas islands.

Hotel Villa Jazmin (Ica, Peru), thank you very much Mozes for trusting placeOK and for the great accomodation in your excellent hotel.

DoubleTree by Hilton Paracas (Paracas, Ica, Peru), a 5 star hotel that trusted someone so small like we are (for now).

Hotel Gran Palma (Paracas, Ica, Peru), a beautiful hotel that, being relatively new, understand perfectly where we are.

Hostel Inti-Mar (Paracas, Ica, Peru), a secret paradise that opened its doors to our project.

Paracas National Reserve (Peru’s Ministry of the Environment), thanks Stive for saying placeOK is an interesting project to work with.

Rimac Local Government, (Lima, Perú), special thanks to Dr. Enrique Peramás, Mayor of the Rimac District for velieving  in the support that placeOK can give to a district with so much tradition.

- Impulso Gráfico (Lima, Peru), special thanks to Victor Araoz, a professional who gives his best in every job he does.

- Jesus Herrera of Magic Desert Adventures, (Ica, Peru), we are pleased to have had you as our buggy driver and sandboard trainer in Huacachina desert.
