Advice on where to find the best technology examples and innovation insights in Tokyo

I am a business futurist heading to Tokyo in mid November to speak at a conference on the Future of Hospitality and Tourism and have a few days to spare and would love to see some of the bleeding edge technologies and tomorrow's innovations that I know Japanese firms do so well.

Any suggestions for where and whom I should visit, how I get into some of the tech companies for a behind the scenes tour and what are the must sees to feed my hunger for all things tech and innovative.

PS I want to use this and other social media posts as the basis for an article, presentation and radio segments based on tapping into a travel community for advice - so all contributions will be gratefully accepted, acknowledged and possibly even mentioned - so thanks and happy traveling.

Some of the famous and must see places in Tokyo are:

- Tsukiji Fish Market (largest fish market in the country)
- Hatsumode (Japan New Year Festival)
- Imperial Palace (home to the emperor and his family.)
- Oriental Bazaar (best for souvenir cravings)
- Kokyo Gaien (perfect place for souvenir photos outside the Imperial Palace)
- Tokyo National Museum (especially for amurai mirrors and interesting woodblock prints)
- Edo-Toyko Museum (history and culture)
- Akihabara (home to one of the first stores that is completely devoted to personal robots)

Rainbow Bridge, Tokyo Port Wild Bird Park and Sumnida River are also famous places to see in Tokyo, Japan. As far as concern to food, try their local and traditional foods especially rice that is the must part of their daily meals.
