Need good site to put stock photos

Anyone know of a good site to put stock photo's? Easy to load and not wanting all your details/dosh?

Hi Jill what is it you are wanting? Is it the name of a stock company or is it that you have stock you wish to up load or is it you are looking for images from a person to use as stock.

 

If you are looking for stock I recommend iStock  http://www.istockphoto.com/ you can get pretty much anything there are reasonable prices.

Hi Jill,

There are plenty of places to load your stock photos. Some of them charge an annual fee and some take a percentage of sales. I have over 2,600 images at www.globaleyeimages.com/portfolio/sfrost. This is an easy interface to upload images and the lightbox function is very helpful to send groups of images to prospective clients. As Martin stated, you really need to determine what you want, who you want to see your images and if you want to sell them as rights managed or royalty free images. If you want to showcase your images on royalty free, microstock agencies, then be prepared to sell your images for pennies. If you want to showcase your images on rights managed agencies, then you will have more opportunities to sell your images for a higher price. Or, if you just want to upload your images so your friends can see them, try Zenfolio or Flickr.

Yes Susan this is also very good advise re rights managed V royalty free. There are great arguments for both.

 

Just one thing Jill, now I do go to the extreme on this but if you are showcasing images you may want to think about water marking them. I have no problems with digital but when I was shooting on film I busted a few companies using my images without permission. They had to pay my full commercial rates because of this but it's just not a situation you want to get yourself into.
