We're starting a new feature at The World on Wheels travel blog this week, Accessible Attractions. Inspired by our recent trip to Jamaica where we found out once we got there that, other than the hotel pool and beach, there wasn't any accessible attractions out there (the Green Grotto was listed as accessible but turned out not to be when we showed up on their doorstep).

One thing we like to know when we travel is if there will be anything worth going to see that is wheelchair accessible. Since we're kind of the Guinea pigs of accessible travel, we really don't know til we get there but we can use that to your advantage.

Accessible Attractions is our answer for this big unknown...we'll go destination by destination and tell you via our firsthand experience exactly what is accessible among the top attractions, and how accessible they are.

We're only doing attractions that we have personally visited and inspected. Some destinations will have several and others few.

Today, we debut with Paris where we spend one day but tried to hit the biggies. So can you see the Mona Lisa in your chair? Go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower? Ride the Metro?

Come on over and see with today's opening chapter - Accessible Attractions: Paris.
