Today on The World on Wheels...this is Tim. This is Tim the day he figured out that this "wine tasting" stuff mom and dad like to do doesn't really suck. No, in fact it's pretty cool. See the whole story here: http://tinyurl.com/3jqfqx4

Now that baseball season is winding down, and we've run out of stadiums to review anyway, our new midweek feature for fall will be updating our transit reports. Since we're focusing on Sacramento this week, we'll start by updating them where they've built a new light rail line. Today at The World on Wheels: http://tinyurl.com/cejxbuf

On our new story today at The World on Wheels, it's a day trip to the Ivy League of the West, Claremont. Home of the Claremont colleges...a group of five universities that are no strangers to U.S News and Word Report's annual list...it's also home to a lively village full of funky shops, restaurants, theaters, clubs, and bars...not to mention the miles of hiking trails just a couple of blocks away. Also, a rarity in the L.A. area, it is really well served by rail and bus transit and everything you want to see and do is withing walking distance of the station: http://tinyurl.com/cj7g375

We finish off our summer in Lake Tahoe today at The World on Wheels. Come along as we conclude the trip with a visit to the north shore and get a little Kennedy/Monroe history along the way: http://tinyurl.com/yf2kp68

Taking a day's detour from the lake in today's report at The World on Wheels. Climbing over the pass from Lake Tahoe via the same route that Kit Carson and John Fremont took to visit their historic watering hole and California's best wine country.

On our Fields of Dreams reports at The World on Wheels, we finish the season with 21 active Major League stadiums, 4 inactive or demolished stadiums, 9 minor league parks, and 1 college stadium. This week, the four we've visited but don't qualify for a full report - yet: http://tinyurl.com/2v58oyz

Long one of America's premiere winter destinations, Lake Tahoe is a lot of fun in the summer too. One of our favorite destinations at The World on Wheels, here's the start of our report on this great lake: http://tinyurl.com/yzufhx4

On today's Fields of Dreams at The World on Wheels...the most interesting ballpark in baseball. "I don't always go to Pittsburgh but when I do, I go to PNC Park." http://tinyurl.com/2g2xn8n
