Most people have little sense of Polynesian and Micronesian geography, and thus little or no clue about where or even what the U.S.-associated Marshall Islands are (though maybe at least Bikini Atoll might ring a bell?), let alone this subset of the country. Majuro is an idyllic 64-island coral atoll covering less than 4 square miles in the middle of the Pacific and home to fewer than 70,000 souls (yet also the Marshalls’ capital and largest city), mostly Micronesians, as well as some Japanese and a good number of Chinese…  keep reading
