Fodor's Travel looking for Kauai writer

Fodor's Travel is looking to refresh its pool of writers for the Kauai guidebook, which provides destination coverage for the whole island.

Fodor's is a leading guidebook brand for American travelers with more than 300 titles covering most corners of the globe (www.fodors.com).

If you are working in Kauai, or know any writers/fact-checkers who are currently stationed there, please be in touch. Feel free to pass this request on to friends and colleagues.

Please note that we hire journalists who have local expertise, i.e. most writers work in the specific region or live there at least part of the year. We're looking to make assignments in the next week and assignments are due back in October. Topics include sights, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, the arts, sports, and shopping. Pay ranges from around $500 to $2,000+, depending on assignment scope.
