Hey Family Travelers,

Syndicated columnist Eileen Ogintz of www.takingthekids.com needs your help finding holiday travel deals for families. She says:

"Is it cheaper to getaway this holiday than last year? Tell me your best
deal for families and how much cheaper it is than last year. Aiming for
December deals but might include some for Thanksgiving. Have you dropped
minimum stays and high season rates?"

If you know of any deals, drop Eileen a line at eileen@takingthekids.com and mention you're a member of Tripatini.com! Her deadline is 01:11pm EASTERN - 13 November 2009.

Thanks to all!

In this economy we are all working hard for our travel dollars and want to get the best value and deals for the family. Which resorts allow a family of 5 in one room?
Which ships have family staterooms? Which resort properties allow kids to eat free with an adult? Ask me - I have the answers and I can help you plan your
perfect family get-away. This year there are so many deals......I can help you make sense of them.

And here's a family-oriented special just in from my contacts at Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia:

"For just $599 plus tax, a family of four can experience a five-day, four-night Colonial Williamsburg vacation worth over $1,000. The Summer Saver is available for Sunday and Monday check-in for stays May 31-September 3, 2009 and includes:

-Four nights' accommodations in a standard room at the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites, an official Colonial Williamsburg hotel located at the Visitor Center gateway to the Historic Area.
-Daily breakfast in the hotel.
-Length-of-visit admission passes providing unlimited come-and-go access to Colonial Williamsburg's Historic Area.
-$200 "resort credit" which may be applied toward meals in any of the Colonial Williamsburg restaurants or taverns, golf at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, services at The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg, or other resort recreational fees.
-20% discount on most purchases at any Colonial Williamsburg-owned store.

In case anyone's thinking of the Caribbean this summer, I just got word of a program in the Caymans called "Summer Splash," which includes a "kids-fly-free" deal -- ages 11 years and younger pay nothing for round-trip airfares from Cayman Airways gateway cities, NYC, Miami, and Tampa. You also get your 5th night free at participating accommodations, deals on restaurants, rental cars, scuba and other stuff. Cayman Summer Splash can be booked March 15-September 2, 2009 for travel any time between June 1 – September 7, 2009, through travel agents or www.CaymanIslands.ky.
