Melbourne Food and Wine

Melbourne Australia is a slightly undersold area to visit for food and wine lovers. We are not as brash as some other cities, but we like to do things very well in a quiet way.

There are lots of food and wine activities which would be of interest to visitors and newcomers to Melbourne, where you can mix with the locals and not be treated to some homogenized prepackaged fare.

Here are a few

• On Thurdsay 1 July there will be a launch of my publication "Vinodiversity the Book." It will be held at the Jwow Wine Bar, details at http://www.vinodiversity.com/booklaunch.html
• A new social group called Vintage Lounge has been formed.  I will start meeting form August.  See http://www.meetup.com/Vintage-Lounge-Travel-Food-Wine/ It will be holding regular meetings for Travel food and wine lovers. 
• Each month In the city there are wine tastings in the evenings of the first Wednesday and Thursday of the month. regional Victorian wineries show off their wares on a rotational basis. see fedsquare.com/index.cfm?pageID=74
