In looking into an eventual "family-roots" trip, I've been poking around the Internet a bit, and came across this video made by, of all outfits, Airbnb, highlighting the fact that family-heritage travel is up 500 percent since 2014. It focuses on a woman who's an Airbnb tends specialist, taking a trip with her father to a region of England from which their family hails. Honestly, it's pretty unsatisfying - they just bop around a bit, visiting a cheese shop and calling upon a couple of Airbnb hosts. And they never even identify the region they're visiting (it appears to be in the north, and one of the hosts mentions it extremely quickly in passing and I couldn't even make out the name). But whatever...for what it's worth.
