A classic trip to a classic roller coaster, history, and oceanside fun. The trip report for Monterey Bay, California is now online at The World on Wheels: http://tinyurl.com/27kld36

It will be a little while before I can get the full reports together, but if you'd like to see the highlights (and a couple of disappointments) from our recent Midwest Baseball Tour, go to this link at The World on Wheels: http://tinyurl.com/2de8sat

The final chapter of Tim's Trip Planning 101 series is now online at The World on Wheels. He's been planning a baseball trip to Ohio and Missouri. Take a look at just what it takes to plan a trip with a wheelchair: http://tinyurl.com/y2zgny2

Max,
I have to agree with you about the water. I'm currently hovering in Phuket, Thailand and although everyone has bottled water etc, the mini-bar still charges. However, I can't really grumble because the place I'm staying is fantastic. £20 a night, huge ensuite room, free beach towel, 100m from the beach and they offer reams of information and advice if you ask! Definitely found myself a bargain!

I do not like the daily resort fees. They really add a lot of $$ to the bill and for many items that I do not use. And I really do not like the room service delivery charge added on top of the room service fee, both of which need to be supplemented with a tip to the delivery person. Instead, I'll have the hotel restaurant call me when my food is ready and I'll go pick it up. Saves lots of $ and I get the food sooner.

Resort fees, fees for local calls, energy fees. Not a fee, per se, but non-refundable, non-cancellable prepaid reservations.

Max, definitely an interesting article. I agree about the water. For me, I think the charging for wi-fi or Internet in general is a big offender.
