A Tripatini member has a question about hotels in Ann Arbor, MI; Madison, Wisconsin; Nashville, TN; and Atlanta, GA, in the USA group. Can you help?

SILKS HOTEL IN LUSH ECO FRIENDLY DOMINICA

This intimate luxury hotel has a distinct charm and is steeped in history. It is comfortably nestled on the banks between two fresh water estuaries as they end their river journey and join the Atlantic Ocean. Formerly a museum, the present hotel has now been sympathetically renovated into a seductively furnished Creole mansion.

Silks hotel has been harmoniously restored and modernized to blend the elements of it's surrounding history, culture and beauty within a natural setting.

Yes, what do you do when guests in the next room are noisy? What is the front desk's responsibility? I'd like to know what hotel managers/owners have to say about this.

Just read about a young guy staying at a Days Inn in Edison, New Jersey who had his face messed up by his next-door neighbors on New Year's Day when he knocked on their door to ask them to dial down their ruckus.  Everybody has had this happen to them -- well, the loud-guests-next-door part, not the attack part -- and the question is, how to deal with it. Does anyone have any thoughts/advice?

We just a launched a new program to allow independently owned hotels to advertise on Darn Good Digs with rates as low as US$25. It's still free to get reviewed, if your hotel is nominated by a guest and we select it from our pool of nominations based on our selection criteria.

Darn Good Digs - guide to the world's best independently owned accommodations for budget-minded travelers.
