With the London Olympics now a successful entry in the history books, let's go back to the beginning...Wednesday, July 6, 2005. It's the day that the IOC, meeting in Singapore, awarded the games to the city. It was a joyful day with celebrations from one end of the city to the other...quite a contrast to the day that followed...
