Fodor's Travel Seeking Turkey Writers

Fodor's Travel is looking for writers for the upcoming edition of our Turkey guidebook, specifically concerning the following regions:

-The Black Sea Coast and the Far East, including Gaziantep, Urfa, Diyarbakir, Mardin, Van, and Kars.

Fodor's is a leading guidebook brand for American travelers with more than 300 titles covering most corners of the globe (www.fodors.com).

If you are working in the above areas, or know any reporters/factcheckers who are currently living there, please be in touch. Feel free to pass this request on to friends, colleagues, and journalism listservs. Please note that we hire journalists who have local expertise, i.e. most writers work in the specific country/region or live there at least part of the year, but due to the unexplored aspect of this region, we are open to hiring writers who do not live there but are willing to travel. We're looking to make assignments now and assignments are due back by the end of August. Topics include sights, restaurants, hotels, nightlife, the arts, sports and shopping.
