Frommer's Travel Guides Seeks Authors With Expertise on Banff and the Canadian Rockies

 Frommer’s has been America’s most popular guidebook series since 1957. We consider our authors our partners, and we encourage them to write in a personal, highly opinionated manner about the destination being covered. We are looking for an author with expertise in Banff and the Rockies (preferably one who is based in Western Canada) to update a guidebook.

If you are working in Western Canada, or know any reporters/writers who are currently living there, please contact us. And don’t hesitate to share this posting with colleagues and journalism listservs. The work will start immediately and is due by late January (it’s a relatively short book). The author will be updating and creating copy on hotels, restaurants, attractions, nightlife, shopping and local culture and history. He or she will also work with our cartographers to help create maps; and consult with our photo editors on image choices.

Apologies, but we do NOT want to hear from authors who haven’t extensively explored this area already (or live in the area). This is not a “travel opportunity”. We pride ourselves on using local experts and are seeking authors who truly are embedded in Western Canada.
