Sometimes called the Torture Museum or the Medieval Crime Museum, by whatever name it goes, it is a fascinating trip through law, torture, and punishment. Located in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany, it is full of documents and devices of torture such as the iron lady, the dunking chair, shaming masks, a drunk tank and more. Alongside these instruments of pain are historical documents and explanations. All informational signs are printed in English and German. It's a weird side trip - but one not to be missed - in the beautiful old walled city.    http://maureenblevins.blogspot.com/
