Did you know about International Festival and Competition of classical music George Enescu? http://www.festivalenescu.ro/
It takes place in Romania, every two years and it's becoming one of the biggest festivals of this kind in Europe.

Shane, one of the great things about Havana (and I assume you'll be spending a good bit of time in Havana), is that music is all over the place. In particular, you'll want to see what's on at clubs like Café Cantante, El Gato Tuerto, and La Zorra y el Cuervo. There's also always a band playing at El Patio restaurant in front of the old town cathedral, and in the courtyard at the Hotel Nacional. If I think of anything else, I'll let you know!

Awesome.. my two favourite things .. music and travel in one discussion forum. I am going to Cuba in a few weeks and really looking forward to checking out the music down there .. anybody got directions to the Buena Vista Social Club ???
