Today we received the following dispatch from Tripatini member Glenda Proko of Redcliffs, Christchurch:

 

"This earthquake has been a devastating and frightening experience!!

The magnitude was less but in our area the force felt 10 times the last earthquake!

 

When I remember back how the fish tank embedded in my wall but it blew out over the lounge room floor. The pizza oven and bricks on the side deck were scattered like confetti upside down over the path!

 

We have lost our house and still in a state of shock!

We are staying with my sister and are greateful to be alive!!

 

Life has taken on a new meaning and possessions no longer hold the same desire!

Human connection is so comforting - for sure!!

 

It seemed to carve a wrenching path through our suburb completely the opposite to last time

Lets pray its over!!

It is truly heartbreaking to see the devastation and hear about the fatalities....New Zealand is definitely in our prayers.

We were in Christchurch a week ago and just cannot pry our eyes from the television. We can't believe this and offer our deepest condolences to all New Zealanders during this terrible disaster. We have been in the country since Christmas and feel a part of things here right now. Our thoughts are with you.

I would like to add my condolances to those who lost loved ones in the earthquake in Christchurch, iyr are certainly in our thoughts and prayers. Quick healing to those with injuries. Speedy recovery to those who have to rebuild or replace. We will strive to keep tourism alive and well in New Zealand.

My deepest sympathy for ALL Kiwis, Clients, and friends from yesterday's Eathquake in Christchurch. God Bless. Our condolances directly to CHC.

The Kiwi's will rebuild and be stronger. This is such a wonderful country that invites the world to share in their warmth. The best thing that we can all do, is to help by promoting travel to NZ.
