Lisbon is one of the most atmospheric cities in Europe, but this small, highly historic country isn't done yet. There's the balmy resort region of Algarve, the green north, home of Port wine; and Atlantic islands Madeira and the Azores; and more.

The Romans named it Promontorium Barbaricum, alluding to its dangerous location, and a lighthouse warns sailors of the treacherous rocks below.Tourists are drawn here due to breathtaking views of its cliffs facing the Atlantic Ocean and its mystical surroundings. Some information concerning to Cape Espichel near Lisbon.

Looking for a reasonable winter rental

We are looking for place to spend Jan.-Feb. Expat community or typically local environment. Ideally, a property we can take care of in exchange for reduced rent, but all offers welcome.

Hi all, am in the process of planning my first trip to Portugal. Plan to base ourselves in Lisbon for a week and travel about from there - mainly south and central. Any tips on what not to miss would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your help - and if you need any advice on Prague/Czech Republic - I'm your girl! :)
