Hi Simon & Baker & Ed, I re-loaded the video, as you see below. I can see it in Firefox and Internet Explorer. Safari for some reason doesn't allow you to view this video. A question for Steve Jobs?

Good question, Allie, and I don't know the answer. But maybe there's a connection here: Whereas the Israeli authorities came down hard on some troops who had posted a video on Youtube of themselves dancing, nationmultimedia.com quotes a Thai military commander who seems thrilled that his troops posted a dancing video on Youtube.
The differences between these two countries' reactions are huge. Could it be that, in the wake of all the problems Thailand has had this past year, the Thais are just very eager to humanize the image of their uniformed men?

This morning I heard about an American tourist who was murdered in Thailand. This was not Thailand's fault. The murderer was a man from Great Britain. I so enjoyed my visit to Thailand ten years ago: The people were extremely nice and gentle to this senior citizen from America, and I have been upset to see the capital city experiencing unrest of late. Will this incident, which was no fault of Thailand's, make Thailand look bad?

If the government keeps it's promise to hold elections in November, I think there could be serious trouble. At this point, I don't think either side is willing to honor the outcome.

The glitzy shopping center was partially destroyed by a fire last May following the Red Shirts occupation of the Ratchaprasong area.
