3.       Lake Chad: This is one of the most famous and oldest lake in Africa, located in Borno State of Nigeria serving both Nigeria and Niger, Cameroon and Chad Republic accordingly, this is
because it is located on boarder of these nations. Tourists with good interest
in boating opportunity and games, water and aquatics animals will find the
place much more interesting and ever wanting to come back.

4.       Agbokim Waterfalls: This is another enchanting and fascinating sight located in Cross River State of Nigeria less than 30km from Ikom t  own.
This sight is highly recommended for picnics, love fits, reunion, birthday,
honeymoon, romance tours (the falls is well and pleasantly surrounded by Green
Vegetations) and natural swimming pools.

5.       Obudu Cattle Ranch: This site is also located in Cross River state toward Nigeria-Cameroon boarder. The Ranch is a tourist’s delight as a result of its divergent attractions and pleasantries
too numerous to mentions, little wonder why the place is re-known for
continuous tourists visitation around the globe. Natural swimming pool, Gorilla
camp, Horse riding etc. it is a place you can’t be tired of visiting even
monthly, one of its kind in Africa.

6.       Oguta Lake Holiday Complex: This is the second largest Lake in Nigeria after Lake Chad, it is located in Imo state of the country. The lake is gf fresh water and the complex

with 18 standard International Holes, Relic of War (Biafran Navy during Civic
War), Mini-Children recreation park etc. the place cater for the interest of
both young, old, male and female, relaxations and freshness of all things there
is unbeatable.

7.       OWUFALLS: The Owu Waterfall is one of the most awesome and wonderful places God created on planet earth. It has its own temperature and humidity highly influenced by the fall.
Starting from some 70 – 80 meters away from the waterfall, the temperature
falls noticeably to the extend of confusing it for an invisible air-condition,
I belief round the fall (3600). The fall is 330 feet high, (the
highest in Africa) and at best in rainy season; all the same, the fall is all
through the year, with or without rain. The villagers don’t go there always to
fetch or play with the water because of the distance. The place is very
natural, filled with different types of rocks, surrounded with hills,
mountains, valleys and always quiet. This hereby make it the best place for
meditation, thinking, planning, start afresh and a place to get inspiration to
carry on with life after a financial, academics or a major stress time is
offer.

8.       National Museum Esie: This museum was actually founded by a re-known hunter who is by name Baragbon. Baragbon  migrated from Oyo the origin of
Yoruba, traceable to Okanbi, Oduduwa son the Progenitor of Yoruba race as far
back as 1775 and sojourned in Esie land in kwara state. One day, this great
hunter was hunting in a tick bush and accidently founded stone images in human
form seated orderly in a circular arrangement. Sculptures are known to be artistic
intentional and purposeful work, what can you then say to these thousands of
images (human scriptures) founded in a bush with different traces of human
activities, tribal marks, social events, with musical instruments, dancers
forms, spectators form, town crier form, farming position
s etc but most noticeable among them is the king
setting, with all the guides, queens, chiefs, and palace itself etc, this is a
complete human being settlement, this is awesome. No-body knows the origin of
these images, the makers and what has happened. There are two schools of
thought to the origin of the images. Do you belief this story?

Conclusion: Yes, there are so many of them that there stories are not believable until you see them. Why don’t you choose West African Countries and Nigeria for your destination this summer?

The first trip I ever made overseas was to West Africa. That was many years ago, and back then, there was very little infrastructure for tourism. So I enjoyed reading this; what a change!
Hi Ed, There is a world of changes in Africa Tourism now. The awareness of Tourism in some African Countries and Nigeria is growing so fast at the speed of light, in fact it is one of the campaigning strategies of the onging election program in Nigeria. Ed maybe you need to take another trip to Africa and Nigeria. I promise you, you won't be disappointed.
