Rail in China

I am traveling to China (Beijing and Shanghai) with a Chamber of Commerce group in September and wish to see and photograph Chinese passenger and freight rail facilities since I am a published rail author and enthusiast.

Will I have any trouble with Chinese authorities?

Any tips or hot spots anybody would recommend in these two cities?

@Jeffrey...Good luck with that trip. I have no answers for your questions, but I do have high hopes for your work. China is pushing hard on high-speed rail and I'd love in particular to see what their passenger facilities look like.
