Hello, PR Friends!

While the last ten years was a great run, especially as freelancing has taken me around the world, the economy and other circumstances is now prompting me to put down some roots in PR.

Thanks to extensive work for both beverage/food/hospitality trades and general interest in consumer magazines, I have developed a strong background in those industries, especially as much of my coverage has focused on international/domestic food travel and trips related to distilleries, wineries and spirits.   While I have a game plan to seek informational interviews with long-time industry contacts and new resumes are ready to go, can anybody in this community provide interesting tips on how to leverage extensive global travel and travel writing as an "asset" with related jobs in the industry (I am looking to work at PR/Marketing firms or in-house at companies focused on wine/spirits, food and hospitality, which all tie to travel)?

Suggestions are welcome.  Thanks so much.
