All of these pictures first appeared the photo essay, "Snapshots of Spain: Places and People," in the IFWTWA web magazine, Global Writes. There I introduced the potpourri of pics with the following text:
"It is difficult to capture a society as rich in cultural diversity as modern Spain in a few photographs. Thre is so much to see; so much to take in. But here, without a single picture of a flamenco dancer or bullfight, are some impressions to whet the viewers appetites to see it all themselves. The photos focus on the sites and citizens of four areas: Catalonia, Castilla, Andalusia, and Spanish Morocco, a colony across the Straits of Gibraltar." (N.B. The special fascination with arches and artists.)
