This bridge, about 160 years old, was built by the Turkish King Ismail. Ismail had his education in Paris in the 19th century where he liked Parisien architecture. When he came back to Cairo, he made an Egyptian model of the famous Parisien buildings and squares in the centre of Cairo. Now it's called Parisien Cairo.
