Volcano Agung

About 3412 meters high, Agung is considered one of the most sacred places in Bali. Many Balinese people try to sleep with their head towards the volcano because all the temples are turned to its party. The volcano last erupted in 1963-1964 and is still active. Bamboo Chocolate Factory

This large commercial bamboo building was inaugurated in November 2011 and is open to visitors for tours and sales of chocolate products. Bali’s largest city, Denpasar, is quite close to the chocolate factory, and the guides recommend tourist to visit the facility.


Black-Sand Beaches

Bali is full of volcanic, black-sand beaches. The black sand can be somewhat hard on the feet as it absorbs heat, but it’s great to visit the black beach. Although the region is tropical but due to the presence of volcano the beach sand is black.


World's Most Expensive Coffee

Bali is home to the most expensive coffee in the world, known as kopi luwak. The prices are so high that it can go up to 50 dollars per coffee cup. It's made by passing beans through the digestive tract of a mammal known as a civet (and obviously the beans are well cleaned before being roasted!).

As Bali provides the cheapest exotic holidays, it is entirely dependent upon tourism. With a steady stream of tourist all around the year, Bali is one of the best places that you can visit.

Languages

The cultural diversity in Bali allows gives it some 580 languages. The native language is Balinese, a Malayo-Polynesian  tongue, but Bahasa Indonesian is of course also widely spoken (as is English). 


Hinduism

Unlike the rest of Muslim Indonesia, a particularly local form of Hinduism is prevalent in Balinese society. Its festivals and rituals are quite beautiful to witness!
