" Not another business trip. Where is this GPS sending me?"
Points of discussion with other corporate travelers include but are not limited to:
· Your airline points
Your hotel upgrade
·
Anything and everything about your flights
·
Your rental car and why you still go full size
·
How the future generation of the work force comes with a catch phrase “What have you
done for me lately?”
·
How you are going to take some time off with your family as soon as business is better
and you actually have some time.
·
So what do you do? (I’m not asking you – this is what you are asking each other)
·
Can I have your business card?
·
Can I scan your QR code? (advanced Corporate Road Warrior)
·
So have you bothered with social media yet?
·
Can you “like” my page and I’ll “like” yours?
·
Seriously – how many Facebook Friends do you have?
·
Why is everyone placing a P in front of the word “interest”?
·
I book with a Travel Agent; I don’t have time to waste on-line.
·
Why would I book my business travel with an on-line site that is represented by a tiny
statue that has a white beard who pretends to talk?
·
I never trusted William Shatner but I went to school with him.
·
I book my family vacations with the same travel agent who books my business travel. It’s
easy and I trust her and I get better value that way and if I need to change something or
I’m worried about something, I just call her and she’s there.
·
I ordered the kosher meal (it's better).
·
Are you going to eat that cookie?
·
What’s with the size of these cups? It’s like the cup my dentist gives me with the
mouthwash inside.
·
My travel agent got me an upgrade.
·
My travel agent suggested a great restaurant on the Upper East Side and she even took
care of the reservations. Nothing like a good meal at the end of a long day.
·
I have an iPad, iPod, iPhone, laptop, GPS (which I bought for driving before the other
technology that put it all in one place), portable printer/scanner and some Junior Mints.
What’s in your bag?
·
What do you mean the flight is cancelled?
·
I’m calling my travel agent and she’ll take care of me. In the meantime, I’m trying to
figure out why I have a tablet, phone and laptop when they all do the same thing.
·
I’m a Corporate Road Warrior and proud of it.
