Located in Nhu Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province, Ben En national park includes hills, mountains, rivers and the lake which makes visitors think about Halong Bay.
In the past, the park was visited by just a few visitors. However, after becoming a national park in 1992, Ben En receives a large number of guests every day who are not only tourists but also scientists.
Ben En national park has a fascinating landscape which is 16.634 hectares in width. The water covers about 3.000 hectares of the park surface. People often compare the lake to Halong Bay because of its containing of 21 big and small islands.
Come to Ben En, visitors can be attracted by its large bio-diversity which includes varieties of plants and animals. Many of them are recognized to be endangered or rare.
The park is also the residential place of many ethnic groups including Kinh, Muong, Thai and Tho. The joining of each group’s unique cultural features creates a various culture of Ben En, fascinating visitors who are interested in cultural ethnographic tourism.
Several projects have been implemented to attract more guests to Ben En national park. Hotels have been built on the islands to make it more ideal for rest. Transport is also improved. More tourism routes are opened.
