Beyond The Fascinating Halong Bay-Some Lesser Known Places

Halong bay is one of most visited destination located in the northern part of Vietnam. Not only the wonderful view of this bay, this world heritage site offers its tourists an excellent experience of the historic places, waterfalls, tropical forests, limestone peaks and much more.

Most of you return back to your luxury resorts and hotels after visiting this mesmerizing bay, but have you ever though, what is beyond these wonderful limestone karsts and waterfalls? Well, here are some of those places that lie beyond the boundaries of Halong bay, but still offer you with outstanding natural beauty.

To the Southern portion of Halong bay there is this less popular Cat Ba, one of the most vibrant islands that are mostly visited by adventure loving people to experience rock climbing, sailing, biking, hiking etc. Towards the eastern part, there is BaiTu Long Bay that still keeps you attached with the spectacular sights of nature and it beauty. Apart from these, there are various other destinations beyond the Halong bay, which needs more and more of attention and appreciation.

Cao Bnag:

The limestone karst also continues in the province of Cao Bang. It’s brooding mountain ranges are another most significant and distinctive landscape in Vietnam that demands more and more of tourist appreciation and notice. Though, Sapa in the northwestern part always stays in a travelers tour map, you go a little out of the track. Instead of Sapa, head towards Northeast for exploring the sublime lakes and remote back roads in the Ba Be National Park.

Cat Ba:

If you want to add up a little more in you’re off the track tour destinations, consider visiting the Cat Ba Island. This island will allow you to explore the bay and its surroundings in fewer crowds. In this island, you tour guide will talk about the Lan Ha Bay, which is one of the less popular and nearly an untouched sandy beach. The Cat Ba park mostly comprises of lush jungle and also includes the Lan Ha Bay along with more than three hundred limestone islands.

This is one of the largest islands found in the Halong Bay, mostly covered with craggy and rugged jungles and mountains. As mentioned earlier, this place is also a hub for people hankering and craving for adventure. This place gives its visitors an opportunity to enjoy numerous energetic and adventurous activities like rock climbing, hiking, cycling and much more.

BaiTu Lung:

Further towards northeast, Halong bay turns to “BaiTu Long national Park”, which has a procession of “karst landscape” mostly equal to its renowned neighbors.  The isolation of this destination is perfect for spending the days of honeymoon with your partner amidst tranquility and serenity.
