Where to Go & What to See in the Country of Georgia

In Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, it's a perfect place to begin your adventure across the country. You can't help but fall in love with Tbilisi when you see it in person. The city's architecture combines Soviet-era structures with avant-garde designs and traditional marketplaces with fast food outlets. This urban city has a lot to offer visitors, as evidenced by its plethora of trendy cafes, restaurants, and pubs. Bookingcar.eu has the greatest car rental deals in Georgia.

You must visit the city's historic district. Beautiful buildings, Georgian and Armenian churches, and dilapidated homes adorn its cobblestone streets. Another must-see is the Narikala Fort climb, which provides a breathtaking view of Tbilisi. It takes less than ten minutes to walk to the summit from the city's historic core. You can ride a cable car to the fort if you live on the other side of the river, near the current Rike Park.

Located in the heart of Georgia, Tbilisi is a relatively small city. Tbilisi's various wine shops are great places to stop for a glass of wine while you're in the city; I strongly recommend that you do so while you're there. If you're feeling worn out at the end of the day, take a sulfur bath (similar to a Turkish bath).

Kazbegi is the second city mentioned.
Kazbegi is a famous tourist site for a good reason. A minibus ride from Tbilisi takes you to one of Georgia's most beautiful spots in about three hours! Numerous hiking paths can be found in the vicinity of or on Mount Kazbek.

Tsminda Sameba's church is one of the most popular hiking destinations in the area, and it offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. (2 hours round trip). For the physically fit, the Kazbek glacier is accessible (8 hours round trip). Mount Kazbek's top can only be reached by the most adventurous of climbers (about 3 or 4 days).

Those who enjoy hiking in the mountains should visit Juta, which is nearby, and complete the Chaukhi Pass climb. It's hard to find a better day trip in the US.

The third city named is Kakheti.
Wine, chacha, and Georgian cuisine are all well-known in the Kakheti region. Relaxing here after a strenuous trekking excursion is an excellent idea. Telavi, the main city in the region, isn't all that exciting. Locals in Telavi were more welcoming than those I encountered in Georgia's capital, Tbilisi.

Sighnaghi, on the other hand, is a fantastic spot to visit. Historic buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries make this city one of Georgia's most renowned tourist attractions. It's a great place to go wine-tasting, wander the streets, and visit historical landmarks.

Bodbe Monastery houses the mortal remains of Saint Nino, which can be viewed. This site is around a 20-minute walk from Sighnaghi. Supper and Georgian red wine are on the menu for the evening. Visit a winery to discover how wine is created, sample it, and learn more about the numerous sorts of grapes that go into it.

Vardzia comes in at number four on this list.
Located in a stunning canyon and ravine terrain, the city-cave of Vardzia has a unique energy. Queen Tamar made this place an important religious center in Georgia by building a monastery here that housed around 2,000 monks. The city was abandoned by the Ottomans and eventually buried beneath the ground and dust. During an earthquake in the 13th century, some of the caverns were uncovered.

At 10:30 a.m., you can take a minibus from Akhaltsikhe to Vardizia on your own if you like. In order to arrive at the other end on time, the departure time has been set at 3pm. There are other tours to Vardzia from Akhaltsikhe, Borjomi, and Tbilisi.

5- Batumi is a city in Georgia.
It surprised me how much I enjoyed my time here. There is a mix of Georgian heritage, Soviet decadence, flashy modernism, and wild nights out on the town in Batumi. In addition to its casinos and summer festivals, Batumi is a favorite destination for Russian tourists.

There was nothing particularly enticing about the scruffy holiday atmosphere in my perspective. If you're looking for a location to stay, Batumi is a fantastic option. Everything was well for a few days.
