Thus, people know about their battle tactics and burial rituals, but interesting bits about their sex life remain away from the spotlight. Extramarital affairs

During the Viking age, infidelity was considered a crime for women and men. However, extramarital affairs were common. Shockingly, in case if a woman was caught having an affair, her husband had the right to kill her and her lover.

Viking girls had the right to divorce their husbands if they were not satisfied with their husbands sexually. They also had the right to opt for separation if the husband preferred men or wore female clothing. The society also allowed women to get back their gifts and dowry from the husband after ending the marriage.

Sexual-relationships before marriage
