Exotic Travelling Destinations And Safety

When people plan their vacations, they concentrate mostly on those attractions that everybody wants to see. The fact remains that some areas have been over-visited that they do not invoke any special feelings again. But we still see people making placing them at the top of their list of areas to visit during their next vacation. Everybody wants to go and see the skyscrapers of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Others are always jostling for the beaches of Miami, the Caribbean Islands, and some other well-known places. But these are too popular to be good.

Why not think about the less visited but highly exotic travel destinations around. Ever heard about the Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands or the Vis in Croatia? Real travelers have always loved to travel to places designed by nature or where humans helped nature to arrange, and not those areas that were completely artificially constructed by humans. However, some dangers may present themselves when such destinations are traveled.

The Arashimaya Bamboo Forest in Japan, the Whitsunday Islands in Australia, the Koh Rong Samloem in Cambodia, The Yucatán in Mexico, and French Polynesia are great places to start with. But special safety measures must be taken when navigating these potentially dangerous routes.

Safety Measure to Take When In These Places

First of all, you have to conduct a detailed research on the safety of the place you want to visit. Understand the probable dangers and how to avoid them.

When you get into areas where you will interact with people, try as much as possible to blend with the locals, look like them, and act like them. It will be wrong for you to act like a tourist all the time.

If you happen to ever get into an area where you are mugged, the last thing you should do is to fight back. Instead, leave the environment immediately. Just understand that losing a few bucks or belongings is not the same as losing a body part.

Make sure your travel plans are tight and keep them to yourself. If you are to get to a mountain or valley, do not hitchhike.

You should also ensure that traveling at night is avoided. This includes coming into the place at night or moving around at night unless there is a special night attraction to view. If this is the case, it must be done in the company of a guide.

Ensure that you have the contact details of your family and the embassy of your country in the foreign country at all times. Also, ensure that you have your passport with you at all times.

If you're planning to travel by sea or go for a tour on the boat you should keep an eye on the weather. While the weather forecast might not be available or reliable for some areas, there are ways to spot the incoming storm even in the ocean. Bad weather might not seem like such a big deal, but even with the modern technologies, it takes lives every year.

If you are with a group, never move far away from the group, unless you are moving in twos or threes.

Make sure you are loaded with enough to eat and drink, so as to keep you going. These areas are remote and may take you far away from the city. So, make sure you have enough cash with you. Change your money to the local currency in the city before you move to the location.

Arrangements for public transport should be made before you arrive, or you consult your hotel manager to help you with this. You are also advised not to share taxis with people you do not know when you are on tour. If you have to rent a car, avoid carjacking by locking your doors all the time.

About hotels accommodations, rooms with swipe keys are better than the numbered keys. Always look out for the emergency exits, stairwells and fire outlets.

Don’t walk aimlessly, and always look out for people taking undue interest in you. Don’t travel with expensive jewelry, and always hide your valuables from the public stare.

Inside the bushes, do not step on areas that look un-walked for a long time. You must be on the appropriate gears whenever you are getting into the bushes, and look out for dangerous animals all the time. However, do not wear heavy gears, so that you can always run if there is any danger.
