According to Hindu mythology, char dham yatra is related with a journey to the moksha as well as a divine life. There are four pilgrimage places which are considered to be the door of eternity and spirituality. These four pilgrimage destinations are Sri Badrinathji, Kedarnathji, Yamunotri and Gangotri, which is a source of Ganga River. Badrinath Dham is situated at a height of 3133m above the sea level on the banks of river Alaknanda. It is one of the oldest places of worship for Hindus. Here the temple opens every year in the month of April and May, and get closed in the third week of November. During the Badrinath tour, you will get the chance to experience the placers like Tapt Kund, Narad Kund, Charanpaduka, Sheshnetra, Vasundhara and many other places.
Kedarnath tour is related with the worship of Sri Kedarnathji shrine which is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It is located at an altitude of 3,581 mts. For going on Kedarnath tour, first you have to reach Gaurikund which is connected by road to most of the important places and then you have to follow 14 kms trek.
