The Queen of Sheba ruled the great nation. Christianity came to the country and the Nine Saints spread the Gospel throughout the land. The Nine Saints had got great respect and love by the people and the royal family.  

  •       According to the old scriptures inherited the land of Yemen, for one hundred years, (450-550) had been governed by rulers of Axum.  King Caleb, after many successful years of regency left his palace and kingship end entered a monastery.
  •       His son King GebereMeskel had been a mighty warrior that he regained his power in Yemen after it was taken by the people of Persians.
  •       Succeeding King GebreMeskel 28 consecutive kings ruled the land of Axum. In 845 AD in the reign of King Anbassa Wudm a vicious Jewish women called Yodit (Judith) in alliance with the Northern Bete Israelites (people believed to have been descended from the first-born children who had once been appointed to accompany the first Solomonic dynasty ruler – king Menelik and his brother Zagwe from the servant of his mother Queen Makeda/ the Queen of Sheba) declared war against the Axumite kingdom and destroyed the Churches and many of the monuments.
  •       She looked for everyone who had the blood of Solomon in every nook and cranny of the nation and killed them all. For this reason she was named as ‘Gudit’ or ‘Esato’ (the trouble maker or the fire) which in Amharic has the sense of being dangerous and cruel.
  •       Leaving his palace in Axum the king ran away and escaped to Shewa for the lady was irresistible. She destroyed the kingdom of Axum and ruled for the next 40 years of her life and died. She gave a 40 years pause to the Solomonic dynasty.
  •       After she had died Anbassa Wudm, the run-away king, got back to his throne in Axum and reigned for 20 years and his son Dilnaod for 10 years. 
  •       Enemies were emerging against the kingdom born of Solomon’s blood. Islamic power and Zagwe’s bloodline were the two dominant. Evolving in 600 AD Islam had come to be very powerful in Asia and most of the Northern Africa.
