Sons were born of the Queen of Sheba and her servant: Menelik from the Queen and Zagwe from the servant of the Queen. Now the children had just passed their teenage and journeyed to see their father – the wise Solomon. He received them with great honour and when they were on their way back home they had the Ark of the Covenant with the crowd that had accompanied them.

  •       Menelik had no objection and he had the most important object in the world. However, some people say he had stolen it.
  •       Some historians contend that the relationship between the father and the son was so strong that the father passed the relic to his son. His father had also provided him with numerous books of wisdom that he brought them all with the ‘Treasure’.
  •       The wisdom of the father had been revealed in the land of the son. He came to be the first king to start the so called ‘Solomonic Dynasty’ that lasted for about 700 years until the last of 1972.
  •       His empire had come to be known by its extensive trade activities that had been stretched as far to the land of Arabia and India.

    •       This empire of his had gone well for1500years in which time, for some reasons, it begun to decline losing its power and provinces.
    •       Even though such an empire of great power and wisdom lost its kingdoms, it contributed so much for the one we have today.
    •       A historian once stated that the first century important civilization had taken place in this kingdom.
    •       In the time of this empire there were a lot of worship kinds and rituals going.
    •       The Moon god, on whom they had strong faith in making them able to draw the sun light by the top of a curved metallic stick in order to use the energy on other things that they may need for, was the most important one.

Now we believe that you are having a real nice acquaintance with the history of Ethiopia. Soon YOU and Ethiopian history will be friends. It won’t go away from your memory so long as you are alive.
