Hi All! I'm new at this site. How are y'll? :-)

You see, I have an obsession. Just a month ago, my sister came back after her vacation. So I want to go anywhere too. I'm just bored here, in the town, miss entertainments! I want to ask your advice, what country is it better to go, as the world is so big, and I need to choose one. of course, I've read almost all posts, but I still can't decide where to go. I've never traveled alone before, and now i'm going to leave for 7-10 days (by the way, I'm not very sociable). I would like nature there to be beautiful, but at the same time there should be something interesting to see or do. What should I do, who knows? Maybe, the same happened with someone else? Write everything you think about it. Thanks in advance for your reply.

I liked Costa Rica a lot.  The majority of the world's biological diversity is there, so you can see a lot of nature, plus there's nice amenities too, relatively speaking.  Not like the Monte Cristo in San Francisco http://http://bit.ly/KYsAfJ but it is a rainforest environment after all.  I liked Jaco on the Pacific side, only a few hours from the main airport.  If you are a little more adventurous you might like Placentia in Belize, now that is an experience.

Joseph, you live in New York but you guide trips in France, right? Even a Californian like me is surprised to read that you're bored in those places, but I suppose that even Le Marais or Tribeca can be boring if you spend enough time there.

Because of your home address and your work, two continents are accessible to you without too much hassle, so here are two suggestions. If you want interesting cities but lots of nature, too, then in Europe I'd go east. Bucharest, Sofia, Prague, Budapest. In the United States, go west: New Mexico. Albuquerque and Santa Fe are great towns with plenty of interesting things going on, and just like in some of the eastern Europe cities, there's beautiful country right outside of town.
